6/18/09 - On Tuesday I spent some time on sanding and filling minor imperfections in the hull. That is some tedious work. I took all of the frames and the seat rails out of the boat. I jacked up and set up my router table (ghetto), and put a chamfer around all of the frames. I marked out the location for the seat rails and left square edges on that part so it receives the seat rail firmly. This should add a nice bit of detail to the inside of the ship.

Also, while I had everything out of the boat I put the finishing touches on the breasthook and the quarter knees. Shout out to Marky Heron for letting me use his shop to clean up my gnarly band sawyering.

6/7/09 - I spent almost the whole day working on the boat. I finnaly fitted and attached all of the frames (dry), and cut the seat rails. For the rails I used this wonky 2x6 that I found at home cheap-o and used its warp to my advantage. I ripped it in half and beveld it to recive the seats (or thwarts if you will). After a bit of bending and shoving, I got it all to go together pretty well. How hot dose she look now?

So last weekend I really got back into it and kicked a bit off ass in the shop. Saturday; did some cleanup and made this sweet little bugger. It was real easy to put together and now the tablesaw glides around like its on a buttered floor. So Sweet.

Whats the hold up?

So, I have been off my game for the past 6 weeks or so 'cause I tried to cut my thumb off. Check out the grusome awesomeness. We see it at 2 days after injury (the really red pic) and again at 1 month.
