6/18/09 - On Tuesday I spent some time on sanding and filling minor imperfections in the hull. That is some tedious work. I took all of the frames and the seat rails out of the boat. I jacked up and set up my router table (ghetto), and put a chamfer around all of the frames. I marked out the location for the seat rails and left square edges on that part so it receives the seat rail firmly. This should add a nice bit of detail to the inside of the ship.

Also, while I had everything out of the boat I put the finishing touches on the breasthook and the quarter knees. Shout out to Marky Heron for letting me use his shop to clean up my gnarly band sawyering.

  1. Sweet--updates! Now instead of going out to the garage and thinking, "Look, a new thing!" I can think, "Look, a chamfer!"

It certainly is looking all beautiful and sanded and glossy. :)
